Cumulus Clouds
Cumulus clouds are fluffy, white clouds that float high in the sky. They usually mean that the day is going to be sunny and there will be good weather. These clouds are the types of clouds you see in happy movies or T.V. shows! Cumulus clouds means get out and enjoy the outdoors!!
Cirrus Clouds
Cirrus clouds are thin, wispy clouds that float high in the sky. These usually look like curly hair or thin pieces of string. These clouds can sometimes take the color of the Sunrise or Sunset! In the daytime, they are the most white cloud in the sky. They do not usually mean it is going to rain. That’s very rare.
Cumulonimbus Clouds
Cumulonimbus clouds are grey, tall clouds that usually mean that a storm is coming. Cumulonimbus clouds have lots of water droplets in them and will most likely cause rain, snow, hail, or sleet. They can even cause tornadoes!!
Stratus Clouds
Stratus clouds are sheets of clouds that are close to the ground. They can cause light drizzle and fog. They are very common in humid areas of the Earth. They usually rise back up as the day gets warmer.
