Memories!

Memories are a collection of neurons (brain cells) that store information about something that happened in the past. Memories can be remembering how to tie your shoes to a person’s name! Memories are made when a group of neurons come together and store sensory information. Sensory information is sight, sounds, smells, tastes, and things that you touch. There are two types of memories: long-term and short-term. Long-term memories are stored in the hippocampus section of the brain. They are kept in your brain for long periods of time because those memories are needed or are very significant. Short-term memories are memories that last for a short amount of time. They are usually things that are not important or are used for a short amount of time. That is what memories are!!
