Materials:
- Paper
- Pencil/pen
- 5 different foods (each with one of the 5 tastes: salty, savory or umami, sweet, bitter, sour)
- Blindfold or cloth to cover your eyes
- Your alert tongue and taste buds!
- An adult to help you
Directions: Ask an adult to pick out the 5 foods with different tastes. Remember to make them foods that you have already tasted. Then, have your adult put a blindfold over your eyes. Then, take a bite of the 5 foods and try to identify what foods they are! Then, write down how many you got right!
Your brain and taste buds are able to remember familiarly tastes, just like smells!
