How Do Cars Move?
Cars move thanks to the Internal Combustion Engine. The Internal Combustion Engine is a real mouthful to say. The Internal Combustion Engine is a mechanism found in trucks, cars, and some trains! The Internal Combustion engine, or I.C.E, helps the vehicle’s wheels move.
How Does The Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Work?
First, a little bit of gasoline or diesel is put inside a chamber or cylinder in the vehicle. When the fuel enters the chamber, a small lighter lights the fuel on fire. This causes a tiny controlled explosion. This explosion causes a long rod called a piston to move, which is connected to the wheel. This helps the vehicle move. In electric vehicles, the electricity acts as the explosion. This also helps the piston and the wheel move.
