Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun. Jupiter is about 483.8 million miles away from the Sun. It is a gas giant which means it is mostly made out of gases like hydrogen and methane. Jupiter is the biggest planet in the Solar System! The surface of Jupiter is 23.71 billion sq. miles. If you were to wrap a belt around Jupiter, it would have to be 43,441 miles long!! Jupiter has over 90 moons and more moons are getting discovered every year. Scientists are looking for life on some of Jupiter’s moons because they might have liquid water or even other liquid forms of gases.
