Moon Dust: Aaa…CHOO

The Moon

Our moon is a natural satellite. This is a natural object that orbits or circles around a planet or star. The moon is believed to have been an irregular piece of our planet that got knocked off by a comet. The moon has a very light atmosphere called an exosphere. The moon also had dust! It is actually very fine soil. This dust has some very, very, very werid properties.

Moon Dust

Now… on with the moon dust! This dust is very tiny. It is smaller than sand. It has very fine particles. Apollo astronauts thought this dust smelled like burnt objects! It got stuck in their space suits and equipment. This dust did not cause any problems, but was very bothering. Lucky for us, we don’t have this type of dust on Earth!
