The Greenhouse Effect is what climate change is caused by. This effect is when gases like Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Methane (CH4) are released into the atmosphere. These gases, also known as greenhouse gases trap the heat that the Sun beams out inside of Earth’s atmosphere. This causes the Earth to get hotter and hotter. This means that sea level rise and ice cap melting will happen.
How to help
Here is a list of things you can do to reduce the impact of The Greenhouse Effect and Climate Change:

- don’t use vehicles that burn fossil fuels such as gasoline (ride your bike instead of driving your car)
- turn off electronics and lights when you are not using them
- buy things that are NOT covered in plastic wrapping
