How Does Photosynthesis Work?

Photosynthesis is the process of taking sunlight and Carbon dioxide and making it into Oxygen gas and sugar! The word “photo” means light. Photosynthesis is used by green plants, algae, and bacteria. That helps the bacteria, plants, or algae make food for themselves. Photosynthesis also made our Oxygen atmosphere! These organisms use a part of their cells called Chloroplasts which make up Chlorophyll to absorb the Sun’s light. Photosynthesis also help maintain a healthy atmosphere. Humans are releasing too much Carbon dioxide into Earth’s atmosphere. The Photosynthesis process requires sunlight and Carbon dioxide. This beings Climate Change into control. Thanks to photosynthesis, we have Oxygen to breathe!
