How Does Earth Support Life?

There are a few reasons why Earth is the only planet in the Solar System to support life. One is that Earth is located in the “Goldilocks Zone” from the Sun. The “Goldilocks Zone” is a specific distance from the Sun where it is not too hot or not too cold. It is just right! Earth is located in this zone, meaning that Earth is able to have a constant temperature, meaning that it can support life. Another reason is the atmosphere. The atmosphere not only has gases like Oxygen and Nitrogen for us to breathe, but the atmosphere protects us from the harmful radiation the Sun gives off. This also helps support life. There is also liquid water on Earth! Water is very important for life because living things are at least 80% water! Water is found in cells, tissue, and even in your brain! Water is a key part of life as we know it. That is why Earth is the only planet in the Solar System (at least from what we know) that supports life.
