What Is The Kuiper Belt?

The Kuiper Belt is a donut-shaped region of icy bodies beyond the orbit of Neptune. Pluto is one of these objects found in the Kuiper Belt! There may be millions of these icy objects called Kuiper Belt objects (KBOs) or trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs). The Kuiper Belt is similar to the Asteroid Belt because it is pieces of rock and debris that is leftover from the formation of the Solar System. Many comets also originate from the Kuiper Belt. That is what the Kuiper Belt is!!
